摘要 Novelty: Air ornithopter flying with the assistance of vertically moving wings (fig. 1). Constitution: Four pairs of wings (A, B, C, D) alternately moving so that the four wings (two front wings B and two rear wings D) can always press downwards the air; a motor (a) setting into motion, via a system of reducers, the flywheel (b) converting the rotary motion into pulse motion and causing -with the assistance of the rod and in the manner of a balance - the vertical reciprocation of the central horizontal axle (c) causing, in turn, through the push rods, the vertical reciprocation of two similar axleswhich, finally, with the assistance of the push rods, will set again into motion the four pairs of wings. Alternative operation mode: Use of wire rope connecting the two pairs of wings (motor-free air-assisted operation); the one pair of the wings closes up while ascending and the other pair opens out while descending. Advantages: Safe flying (vertical take-off and landing). In the event of a motor failure, the horizontal axle balancing with the help of the flywheel takes a horizontal position so that the adequately-constructed wings can remain opened at the same level and height while the ornithopter converts into a parachute; it is an economical and ecological invention (lesser energy consumed). Embodiment: Wide range of use (used as individual transport means, fire extinguishing means etc).
