<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular approach informing device in a low-noise vehicle such as an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle, capable of keeping the sound pressure of an informing sound in a proper range irrespective of a vehicle speed and enabling pedestrians to recognize the speed of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The informing sound has a constant frequency, wherein a sound pressure changes periodically and the cycle of sound pressure change changes depending on the vehicle speed. Since the frequency is constant, the variation in sound pressure due to the change in frequency is avoided and the sound pressure of an informing sound can be kept in a proper range, irrespective of the vehicle speed. Since the sound pressure of an informing sound changes periodically and the cycle causing the change in sound pressure changes in accordance with the vehicle speed, pedestrians can recognize the speed of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
