<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for identifying an operator having high confidentiality by a tangible object which has satisfactory operability and whose management is easy when a packaging machine is managed and used. <P>SOLUTION: When identification of an operator is needed for management and usage of a packaging machine, a storage means which is represented by a USB memory with an authentication function and can be carried is used. Personal identification information or access permission information to the packaging machine is written into an area, which can be accessed by only an exclusive application, in the storage means that can be carried, and the information is used for identification of the operator.
