<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of fork shaft having a plurality of rectangular cross-sections of a transmission, which can narrow the interval between fork shafts adjacent to each other and reducing the number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: The support structure includes: a pair of columnar support members P, P; and a pair of circular insertion holes formed on a housing. On each support member P, a plurality of rectangular through-holes having the same shape are formed along the axial direction. Cylindrical outer circumferential surfaces of the respective support members P are respectively pressed into and secured to corresponding insertion holes. Thereafter, end parts of the fork shafts corresponding to the plurality of through-holes of each support member P are inserted respectively.
