<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor that prevents oil and a refrigerant from being mixed again when the oil ejected from a compression mechanism passes a refrigerant passage installed on a rotor and that controls oil discharge to outside the compressor. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor includes: a rotor-circular outer-peripheral wall 100 on an upper part of a rotor 3b; a rotor-outside passage 103 on an lower part of the rotor-circular outer-peripheral wall 100 to pass the oil 6 discharged from the compression mechanism 2. A rotor-outside-passage outlet 103a is positioned on a balance weight 24, and the oil 6 discharged from the rotor-outside-passage outlet 103a flows toward a stator coil 104.
