<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprinkler head which is insusceptible to an external force and whose heat receiving efficiency can be improved even when its heat sensitive element is not protruded outward. <P>SOLUTION: The sprinkler head includes: a head body 1 which has a water discharge port 2; a valve element 15 which closes the water discharge port 2; and a thermal decomposition mechanism 30 which supports the valve element 15. A guard member 35 is also provided which is positioned below and around fusible alloy 62 arranged in the thermal decomposition mechanism 30, to receive an external force.
