摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a color of an area corresponding to a display color change target area in a display medium changes more quickly when the display color change target area in the display medium is designated than where a voltage equal to or exceeding the maximum absolute value of the migration voltage of a plurality of kinds of particle groups is not applied to the area corresponding to the display color change target area in the display medium. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 20 of a display device 10 controls a voltage application section 16 as follows: when a first acquisition section 22A acquires area information that indicates an area corresponding to a plurality of pixels of an image to be displayed on a display medium 12 as a display color change target area in the display medium 12, a voltage equal to or exceeding a maximum absolute value (maximum voltage value) of the migration voltage of a plurality of kinds of particle groups 50 that have different colors and different absolute values of migration voltages among one another is applied to each area corresponding to a plurality of pixels in the area in the display medium 12 corresponding to the area information in such a manner that the polarities of the voltage are the same among pixel areas or the voltage has a polarity for displaying a color different from that displayed in each pixel area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
