An active matrix type LCD is provided to make the load capacitances, which is applied to gate lines, uniform, thereby preventing flicker problem due to delay of gate voltage, by verifying the structures of respective thin film transistors. An LCD comprises a plurality of pixel regions defined by gate lines and data lines. Pixel electrodes and thin film transistors are formed within the pixel regions, respectively. Each of the thin film transistors is composed of an amorphous semiconductor patch(30) disposed above each gate line, and source and drain electrodes(50,40) disposed on the semiconductor patch. A gate-source parasitic capacitance of a first thin film transistor, which is disposed in the remote region from a gate driver, is larger than a gate-source parasitic capacitance of a second thin film transistor, which is disposed in the close region to the gate driver. Channel widths and channel caps of thin film transistors are uniform regardless of distances between respective thin film transistors and the gate driver. |
