PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application apparatus capable of preventing supply stripes due to supply irregularity which is liable to occur upon coating liquid supply and bubble stripes due to bubble entrainment, and capable of reducing unevenness of thickness, and to provide an application method and a method for manufacturing web having coating film which uses the application apparatus. SOLUTION: The application apparatus which applies coating liquid on the upper surface of a running web with an application bar comprises a coating liquid supply means which directly supplies coating liquid to a paddle of liquid formed on a contact part between the application bar and the web, wherein the coating liquid supply means has a smooth part on which the coating liquid can flow in such a state that the upper part is open.
