<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the protection level of a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A security system 1 acquires information on a protection state of a mobile phone 2 against computer viruses from the mobile phone 2. Based on the acquired information, a management system 5 identifies programs and data for improving a protection level of the mobile phone 2 beyond the current state, among programs and data which are for countermeasures against computer viruses and which can be incorporated into the mobile phone 2.
