<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain aluminum alloy continuously cast rods excellent in mechanical properties and abrasion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for producing aluminum alloy continuously cast rods through a consistent and continuous process, eddy-current defect searching inspection as surface inspection and ultrasonic defect searching examination as internal inspection are performed using a nondestructive inspection apparatus 1401 for inspecting the aluminum alloy continuously cast rods. Feedback depending on the result of the eddy-current searching inspection is made to an outer periphery removing device 1101 so that the generation of surface defects of continuously cast aluminum alloy rod is prevented, and feedback depending on the result of the ultrasonic defect searching examination is made to a continuous casting apparatus 301 which produces aluminum alloy continuously cast rods by casting molten aluminum alloy so that the generation of internal defects of aluminum alloy continuously cast rod is prevented. Aluminum alloy continuously cast rods having surface defects which are detected in the eddy-current defects searching inspection are removed first and the ultrasonic defect searching inspection is performed to adjust processes so that the processing capacity in relation to the consistent and continuous process is not reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
