<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable precisely setting a color parameter range used for determining a threshold value for color determination to carry out part assembly inspection of a component part in a manner of color determination using color image of the component part. <P>SOLUTION: In assembly inspection of a component part on an object assembly, acceptance/rejection determination is made using a color photographed image of a model assembly component part (model image) and a color photographed image of a component part of an object assembly. In a setting method of a color parameter range which is used for determining a threshold value for color determination of a component part on the object assembly, frequency value distribution of color component values of each pixel within a color determination area in the model image is stored in a storage device so as to be displayed on a relevant color coordinate in a two dimensional color coordinate system H-S.
