<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately prevent, in a developing device that regulates with a regulating member the quantity of developer carried toward an image carrier by a developer carrier, such troubles as clogging by the accumulation of foreign matter in the developer in part of the regulating member. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 10 that causes a developer carrier 11 supplied with a developer D containing toner and carrier to carry the developer to an image carrier 1 by rotating the developer carrier and regulates the quantity of the developer carried by the developer carrier to the image carrier with a regulating member 15 and causes the foreign matter X present in the developer to be carried in the direction of returning it from the regulating member to the developing device by turning the developer carrier in the reverse direction, and is further provided in itself with a recovering unit 16 that recovers the foreign matter X carried by the developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
