<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate statistics associated with an execution of a source code without addition and modification to an application code. <P>SOLUTION: A system for use in indicating an execution of an application code generates an application object code based on an application source code (310). The system associates execution detection means such as an execution breakpoint with each object code portion of interest (315). The system executes a portion of an application object code (320). When the execution breakpoint is attained, an execution event is associated with a source code portion of interest corresponding to the object code portion of interest (330).
