<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of preventing the unbalance of a force along the axial direction, a drastic pressure change in a trapping section and the wear of a cylinder block and a piston. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor 100 includes a housing 110, a valve plate 120, a cylinder block 130, piston units 140, a cam element 150, a drive shaft 160 and a motor 170. The valve plate is fixed to one end of the housing. A portion of the cylinder block is received in the valve plate. The cylinder block is rotatable relative to the valve plate and has a plurality of cylinder bores disposed along a circumferential direction. The piston units are housed in a plurality of cylinder bores. The cam element is fixed to the housing and is in contact with one end of each of the piston units.
