<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that liquid consumption increases when a bubble in a channel is discharged. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a head 1, a liquid tank 2 which contains liquid being fed to the head 1, a waste liquid tank 3 which contains liquid being discharged from the head 1, a first channel 4 leading from the liquid tank 2 to the head 1, a second channel 5 leading from the head 1 to the waste liquid tank 3, a bubble mixing unit 7 for mixing a bubble 362 having a diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the first channel 4 into the first channel 4, and a liquid feed unit 6 for feeding liquid from the liquid tank 2 to the head 1. In a state where a bubble 362 having a diameter equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the first channel 4 is mixed into the first channel 4 by the bubble mixing unit 7, the liquid feed unit 6 feeds liquid and discharges the bubble 362 thus mixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
