<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exfoliation and distortion of a partitioning wall while restraining a drop in opening ratio. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophoretic display device comprises a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to each other at prescribed spacing in-between, a plurality of pixel electrodes arrayed on the first substrate, wiring arranged between adjoining pixel electrodes, a counter electrode disposed on the second substrate, and a partitioning wall so erected as to surround the plurality of pixel electrodes on the wiring of the first substrate toward the second substrate, wherein the partitioning wall is rectangular frame-shaped and has, on at least one of the four sides thereof, a widened part that is wider than any other part of the side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
