<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that forms a color image while reducing the time required for correcting misalignment of color images. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of image forming units 30Y, 30M, 30C and 30K form a first image quality adjustment pattern and a second image quality adjustment pattern in a first length region along a moving direction of an intermediate transfer belt 41. Misalignment of color images is corrected in a first misalignment correction control mode that corrects misalignment on the basis of a result on the first image quality adjustment pattern detected by a first position detection sensor 80 and a result on the second image quality adjustment pattern detected by a second position detection sensor 90, or misalignment of color images is corrected in a second misalignment correction control mode that forms the first image adjustment pattern in a second length region shorter than the first length region to correct misalignment on the basis of a result on the first image adjustment pattern detected by the first position detection sensor 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
