<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a position pointed by a displayed pointer from being shifted from the correct position of a scale which is equivalent to a measurement value, and to increase the degree of freedom in the design of an instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The graphic display device is provided with: a scale information storage part for storing information indicating display coordinates about each of three or more representative scale positions included in a scale in association with a representative numerical value assigned to each position; a pointer pointing coordinate calculation part for, on the basis of an input measurement value, extracting the vertically adjacent two representative numerical values of the size as a first representative numerical value and a second representative numerical value from among the three or more representative scale positions, and for calculating an intermediate position determined from the first representative numerical value and the second representative numerical value and the measurement value on a segment connecting coordinates corresponding to the first representative numerical value and coordinates corresponding to the second representative numerical value as pointer pointing coordinates; and a graphic display part for, by using the pointer pointing coordinates as a reference, plotting the display pattern of the pointer in the neighborhood. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
