摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase randomness by preventing deviation of an occurence frequency of 0 and 1 in a random number series. <P>SOLUTION: A random number generation circuit comprises: M fixed stage number type ring oscillators each of which is composed of an odd stage number of inverters; M front stage D-FFs which latch outputs of intermediate nodes of the M ring oscillators by using a sampling clock with frequency S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>respectively; an M-input XOR that calculates exclusive OR of each latch output of the M front stage D-FFs; a subsequent stage D-FF which latches an output of the M-input XOR by using the sampling clock with the frequency S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and outputs the result as a random number value; and a control unit that generates the sampling clock with the frequency S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
