<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for an LED lamp capable of irradiating an irradiating light toward mainly intended direction by a lighting fixture like in the case of a bulb being fitted even if the LED lamp is fitted to a socket facing sideways or in an inclined direction. <P>SOLUTION: The adapter 1 is fitted between an LED lamp 20 and a socket 23 for connecting electrically the LED lamp 20 with the socket 23. The adapter 1 is provided with a first base part 2 fitted on the socket 23 connected to a power source line 24, a second base part 8 on which a base 21 of the LED lamp 20 is fitted, a rotation mechanism 5 connecting the first base part 2 and the second base part 8 in a free rotation, and a power conducting part 10 for electrically connecting the socket 23 to the base 21.
