<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio tag system having a configuration, capable of performing communication operation of a radio tag at an appropriate time, and effectively suppressing the power consumption of the radio tag at a standby time before the communication operation. <P>SOLUTION: A radio tag system 1 comprises: a radio tag reader 2; and a radio tag 50. The radio tag reader 2 includes: an LF band transmission circuit 21 for transmitting a trigger radio wave of a first frequency band via an LF band antenna 22; and reader-side communication means (a UHF band antenna 34 and a UHF band transceiver 31) for performing radio communication by the intermediary of a radio wave of a second frequency band. Further, the radio tag 50 includes: disposition direction detection means for detecting the disposition direction of the radio tag 50 relative to the radio tag reader 2; and effectuation control means for controlling a time to effectuate each receiving circuit 61, 62, 63, based on the disposition direction of the radio tag 50 detected by the disposition direction detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
