<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generally improve maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: A deodorizing device includes photocatalyst filters 2 through which a gas G containing at least malodor components passes, and a light source 3 which irradiates one side of the photocatalyst filters 2 with light. A filter 18 for collecting contaminating components is selectively installed at the windward side of the photocatalyst filters 2 when the gas G contains the contaminating components as well.
