<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement of a memory use configuration and smooth mode switching in an imaging apparatus for generating a wide dynamic range image by image composition and a normal image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a memory for storing imaging signals; an image composition unit for inputting the image signals stored in the memory and executing image composition processing to generate a wide dynamic range image; an image correction unit for executing signal conversion processing by gamma correction processing; and a control unit for executing signal path control accompanied by a switching of input/output paths for the memory. The control unit executes signal path control for setting a signal after correction by the image correction unit as a read/write signal for the memory at the time of normal image generation in which the image composition processing is not executed by the image composition unit, and setting a signal before correction by the image correction unit as a read/write signal for the memory at the time of wide dynamic range image generation in which the image composition processing is executed by the image composition unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
