<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cutting an adhesive optical filter for a display, by which problems of paste dirt of a lump of paste, burr, a deficit and the like caused when an optical filter having two or more independent adhesive layers is cut by punching in a prescribed size can be solved, and to provide a method of manufacturing the adhesive optical filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of cutting the adhesive optical filter for the display, a punching blade B which has a cutting edge of ≤30° tip angle θ and whose surface is subjected to silicone treatment s is used when the adhesive optical filter 10 for the display in which a plurality of adhesive filters 3 each made of a filter body 1 and an adhesive layer 2 are layered and which has a plurality of independent adhesive layers by being isolated from each other via the filter body is punched and cut in a prescribed size.
