<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device and a display control method capable of selecting a folder in a deep hierarchy without performing in-and-out operations for folders in a directory hierarchy structure. <P>SOLUTION: A display control device controls a list display of content composed of files and folders accumulated in other equipment connected to a network according to an operation of a remote controller. The display control device includes: folder selection means for selecting a folder according to the operation of the remote controller; reception control means for receiving the content from other equipment and receiving file attribute information showing that the attributes of the content are folders or files; folder list information storage means for storing information on the content as folder list information when the attributes showing folders are imparted to the received file attribute information; and display control means for allowing only the list of folders to be displayed based on the stored folder list information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
