<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner cartridge capable of preventing a leakage of toner during transportation and reducing a torque needed for a movement of a shutter. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 51 of a toner cartridge 11 has a communication port 56 allowing a communication between the outside and the inside of the toner cartridge 11. A shutter 75 is provided so as to be capable of moving between an opening position for opening the communication port 56 and a closing position for closing the communication port 56. Further, the shutter 75 is provided so as to move between a first position relatively apart from the housing 51 and a second position relatively close to the housing 51. Where the shutter 75 is in the closing position, a toner seal 59 is interposed between the housing 51 and the shutter 75.
