<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting resin composition for a color filter, the composition allowing formation of a color layer with high flatness even by an ink jet system, and capable of improving optical performances. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin composition for a color filter contains (A) a pigment dispersant, (B) a pigment, (C) a thermosetting binder and (D) a solvent. The (A) pigment dispersant is a grafted copolymer containing, as copolymer components, a nitrogen-containing monomer having a tertiary amino group and a group having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and a macromonomer comprising a polymer chain and a group having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond at an end of the polymer chain. In the grafted copolymer, at least part of amino groups as a structural unit derived from the nitrogen-containing monomer is modified into a quaternary ammonium salt; and the copolymer includes a side chain derived from the macromonomer and having a glass transition temperature of 30°C or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
