<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner whose optical system components can easily be recycled, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner has an intermediate member 120, as a holding member, which fixedly holds a collimator lens 52 and is bonded and fixed to a first housing 70. The intermediate member 120 has a plurality of housing bonded parts 121, bonded and fixed to a collimator lens attaching part 701a of the first housing 70, as a housing, by use of an ultraviolet curable adhesive 123.
