<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start traveling control device for an automobile or the like, which is easy to mount and can inexpensively achieve prevention of a serious accident such as collision, whereas a driver of the automobile or the like can mix up forward movement and reverse movement, when he/she is preoccupied or performs shift operation without visual confirmation, and further gets panics due to shock and false recognition, causing the serious accident, although he/she can drive the automobile with general attentiveness without mixing up the forward movement and reverse movement in general traveling. <P>SOLUTION: In the start traveling control device for the automobile or the like, an engine start switch functions only when the gear shift position of a transmission of the automobile or the like is in a parking position P, and the operation by shift positions of the transmission takes a fixed shift pattern in which a reverse position R, a neutral position N, and a drive position D or the like are successively shifted with the parking position P as a start point, whereby a malfunction is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
