IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a printed matter in which a specific main-part page can be easily searched out even if a user opens a page inserted with an appendix page when the user tries to view the specific main-part page.

SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 can insert a page of an appendix image between pages of a main-part image designated beforehand and printout the page. The image forming device 1 gives a main-part page number to each page of the main-part image, and gives an auxiliary page number different from the main-part page number to each page of the appendix image inserted between the pages of the main-part image. When the auxiliary page numbers are given to the respective pages of the appendix image, an auxiliary page number indicating the nearest main-part page number is set based on an inserting position of pages of the designated appendix image and the number of continuing pages of the designated appendix image.
