<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep cooling performance of a head also constant by reciprocating the ink through a head, while maintaining nozzle pressure in image recording at a constant negative pressure. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet printer has: an ink head which has first and second ink introduction parts which carry out communication to a nozzle; a first ink storage part connected through the first introduction part and a first route; a second ink storage part connected through the second introduction part and a second route; a pressurizing and depressurizing means which carries out pressurizing and depressurizing in the storage parts by supplying and ejecting air to or from these storage parts; and a control means for the pressurizing and depressurizing means. The control means reverses the ink flow in the head by repeating a first mode and a second mode by turns. In the first mode, inside of the second storage part is depressurized while pressurizing inside of the first storage part, while maintaining the nozzle pressure to the ink dischargeable negative pressure; and in the second mode, inside of the second storage part is pressurized while depressurizing inside of the first storage part, while maintaining the nozzle pressure to the ink-dischargeable negative pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
