<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a socket and a plug so as not to be disengaged when coupled. <P>SOLUTION: The outer circumferential part 11c of a plug body 11 is inserted into a tip end-side round hole 21e of a socket body 21. When a plurality of balls 22 fitted loosely in long holes 21ce bored along the circumferential direction between the outer circumferential part 21c and the tip end-side round hole 21e of the socket body 21 are engaged into a first recessed groove 11c2 formed around the outer circumferential part 11c of the plug body 11, a cylinder 31 for sliding slides toward the rear end 21b side of the socket body 21 against a biasing means 32 so as to separate the plurality of balls 22 from the inside of a second recessed groove 31c1 formed around the inner surface of a round hole 31c of the cylinder 31 for sliding fitted slidably in the outer circumferential part 21d of the socket body 21. By pressing the plurality of balls 22 into the first recessed groove 11c2 with the tip end side inner surface of the round hole 31c of the cylinder 31 for sliding, the socket 10 can be locked to the plug 20 in the pipe joint 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
