PURPOSE: A method for inputting a letter is provided to input a syllable which is comprised of consonant and vowel with only operating a consonant button. CONSTITUTION: A consonant is selected(S22) if one consonant button is pressed among at least two consonant buttons expressing the different consonants is sensed(S21). If slip is sensed in the pressing state of the consonant button(S23), the consonant button is displayed to the slip direction by being moved(S24). By responding to the slip of the sensed consonant button, at least one vowel among the differently set vowel groups per slip direction is selected(S25). The selected consonant and vowel is displayed on a word input window with one syllable(S26).
