PURPOSE: A power control system and method are provided to supply a system apparatus optimized to a corresponding area power characteristic by updating a predetermined reference time to wait for the supply of a main power source. CONSTITUTION: A power control system(10) provides DC power to an operation module(20) by receiving the power of 100V or 220V from the external power supply of AC power(50). The operation module operates software or firmware which operates a processor by including the processor and database. An auxiliary power supply part(30) supplies the power to the operation module in a UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) operation mode. A switch consists of the switch for booting a system of an automatic teller machine.
