<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant body having a high content of rebaudioside A compared to that of stevioside, and to provide a method for producing a sweetener extracted from the plant body and/or a dry leaf thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The plant body which contains 4 pts.wt. or more of the rebaudioside A to 1 pt.wt. of the stevioside is obtained by selecting the plant body which contains 4 pts.wt. or more of the rebaudioside A to 1 pt.wt. of the stevioside from plant bodies obtained by hybridization of varieties belonging to the Stevia rebaudiana bertoni, and which is confirmed by a DNA test carrying out PCR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
