<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for protecting a parking support system from failures of a foot brake device. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for protecting a parking support system from failures of foot brake devices (2, 4, 5), functions of the foot brake devices (2, 4, 5) are monitored, and if a failure occurs, an actuator (9) of other vehicle systems (6, 7; 8, 9) is driven, thereby applying brakes on the vehicle, and/or cutting off the transmission of driving forces to wheels of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
