摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a plurality of optical systems, capable of avoiding an improper imaging result by detecting occurrence of a step-out of driving means in any one of the optical systems. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus can photograph a subject at the same time by a first optical system 100 and a second optical system 200. Imaging devices 105 and 205 photograph the subject via the respective optical systems. Each of driving control units 109 to 112 and 209 to 212 performs zoom control, focus control, and shutter and diaphragm control for the optical system. A stepping motor is used for driving means of an optical member. In the case that the driving means in the optical systems are synthesized under the same driving condition and are driven, a system control unit 118 compares driving control states of the optical systems. If the driving control states are different from each other, it is determined that any one of the driving means in the optical systems is in a step-out. After detection of the step-out, the system control unit 118 notifies a user of the detection result or continues the photographing operation by the operation of a correction drive sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
