<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that provides a comfort heating and cooling environment for each and every person by adjusting strength of hot or cold air and a vertically wind direction, and that simultaneously achieves a heating and cooling air conditioning having superior energy efficiency for circulating hot and cold air more effectively in the whole room. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a first vertically wind-direction changing blade 8a and a second vertically wind-direction changing blade 8b. The air conditioner also includes a joint between the first vertically wind-direction changing blade 8a and a first arm 6a.
