<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a reflectance of light transmitting an electrochromic device having an electrochromic layer made of titanium oxide. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrochromic device having a pair of transparent electrodes, and an electrolyte layer and the electrochromic layer arranged between a pair of the transparent electrodes, the electrochromic layer is a layer formed by laminating two layers, both two layers are layers made of titanium oxide, a first electrochromic layer is brought into contact with one of a pair of the transparent electrodes, and a second electrochromic layer is brought into contact with the electrolyte side of the first electrochromic layer. When a refractive index of the transparent electrode in contact with the first electrochromic layer is represented by n0, a refractive index of the first electrochromic layer is represented by n1, and a refractive index of the second electrochromic layer is represented by n2, the refractive indexes have a relation of n0<n1<n2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
