<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a bag filter, which enables wiping off of the dust attached to filter cloth, and hardly causes the damage to the filter cloth. <P>SOLUTION: The retainer has a constitution that while compression air jetted from a nozzle 70a of a brushing mechanism 70 of a pulse jet type is supplied to the lower part in the lengthwise direction in the radial direction of the retainer body 20, air sucked from outside of the retainer body 20 to a venturi tube 40 is supplied to the inside face of the top end of the filter cloth 25 along the outer wall of the tube 50 of a horn type, as a rectifier. The venturi tube 40 and the tube 50 as the rectifier are formed in different bodies.
