<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a compact camera, which makes it possible to hold the compact camera with one hand during photographing and is excellent in portability in addition to hold stability and operability. <P>SOLUTION: As a holder 1 for a compact camera 8, a grip of gripping means capable of being gripped with the thumb, index finger, and middle finger of one hand is formed from a rectangular thick plate. A dial 6 of auxiliary means for attaching to the compact camera 8 is provided on top of the grip 2 of the rectangular thick plate form. A male screw 4 of attaching means, which is spirally fitted to a tripod female screw 9 so as to attach the compact camera 8 at the bottom of the compact camera 8, is fixed to the top of the dial 6. An O ring 5 of relaxation prevention means is fitted in the male screw 4, thereby forming the holder 1. When using the holder 1, the male screw 4 of the holder 1 is spirally fitted to the tripod female screw 9 of the compact camera 8 by rotating the dial 6 to the right.
