摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overheat abnormality monitoring method and an overheat abnormality monitoring apparatus capable of accurately detecting occurrence of overheat abnormality in a monitoring area where an overheat abnormality detecting object such as an electric wire exists. <P>SOLUTION: The overheat abnormality monitoring method includes: a step (A) for selecting a volatile substance satisfying conditions of a substance of which use is restricted as an additive of an electric insulator and which is not detected from general environments and a substance generating a large difference of detection amounts before and after a temperature determined as overheat abnormality out of volatile substances discharged by heating of the electric insulator; and a step (B) for arranging a sensor capable of detecting the volatile substance in the monitoring area where the overheat abnormality detecting object such as an electric wire exists, monitoring the existence or amount of the volatile substance in air by the sensor, and at a point of time that the volatile substance is detected or the amount of the volatile substance reaches a preset upper limit value, detecting occurrence of overheat abnormality in the overheat abnormality detection object in the monitoring area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
