LIGHTNING ALERT DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR POWER TRANSMISSION TOWERS

PURPOSE: A lightning alert device for a power transmission tower and a lightning alert system using the same are provided to effectively detect a ground fault accident due to a stroke of lightning on a pylon of a transmission line, thereby informing the ground fault accident to an administrator. CONSTITUTION: A lightning stroke detector(101) outputs current induced by a stroke of lightning on a transmission tower. A lightning stroke size sensing unit(102,104) outputs output voltage(ADC1,ADC2) corresponding to the size of the induced current outputted from the lightning stroke detector. An interruption signal generator(103,105) outputs an interruption signal for setting an operation state of a microprocessor(106) when a lightning stroke is detected by the lightning stroke detector.
