<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio relay device and a radio communication method for determining the necessity of the radio relay device when achieving communication between a radio base station and a radio mobile station and stopping services of the radio relay device when determined that it is not needed. <P>SOLUTION: A radio relay device 111 related to this invention is the radio relay device 111 for relaying data transmitted and received between a radio base station BS and a radio mobile station MS adopting a TDD system, and includes: a base station side transmission/reception part 117 for receiving data from the radio base station BS in a first period and transmitting the data to the radio base station BS in a second period; a mobile station side transmission/reception part 123 for receiving the data from the radio mobile station MS in the first period and transmitting the data to the radio mobile station MS in the second period; and a control part 121 for acquiring a mobile station side reception quality value in the mobile station side transmission/reception part 123 in the first period, validating the function of the mobile station side transmission/reception part 123 when the acquired mobile station side reception quality value is equal to or larger than a mobile station side reception quality threshold, and invalidating the function of the mobile station side transmission/reception part 123 when the acquired mobile station side reception quality value is smaller than the mobile station side reception quality threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
