<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce interference among an own base station and other base stations which use overlapping frequency bands, and also improve a transmission rate. <P>SOLUTION: A base station performing wireless communication with a mobile apparatus, has: an index calculation unit for calculating an index indicating interference in frequency bands which should be used by other base stations; a frequency band selection unit for selecting a frequency band area with interference that is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold based on the index calculated by the index calculation unit; and a communication unit for performing wireless communication with the mobile apparatus in the frequency band area selected by the frequency band area selection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
