<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reading apparatus capable of suppressing decrease in reading accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: If it is determined that no margin area exists, respective width values W1, W2, W3 of a first area B1, a second area B2, and a third area B3 among margin equivalent areas are calculated.
