<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting device in which the size of a mounting head can be prevented from increasing by simplifying the mechanism in the mounting head, and to provide a component mounting method. <P>SOLUTION: The component mounting device comprises a conveyor 2 which performs positioning of a substrate 3, a tray feeder 5 which supplies a component 4, and a mounting head 7 having a first lifting shaft 9 and a second lifting shaft 10 arranged in two rows, where a suction nozzle 11 that picks up the component 4 supplied from the tray feeder 5 and mounts the component 4 on the substrate 3 positioned by the conveyor 2 is attached to the first lifting shaft 9, and an open/close arm 23 extending to the lower end side of the suction nozzle 11 and regulating the position of the component 4 being sucked by the suction nozzle 11 by clamping the component 4 located directly under the suction nozzle 11 is attached to the second lifting shaft 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
