<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect relative humidity of space to be measured without being affected by internal heat generation. <P>SOLUTION: A first temperature sensor 5 is provided to a ceiling side in a humidity detector 100. A second temperature sensor 4 is provided to a floor side in the humidity detector 100. The second temperature sensor 4 also serves as an ambient temperature sensor for measuring temperature in the vicinity of a humidity sensor 3. Degree of internal heat generation is specified based on temperature difference ΔT between temperature of two points measured by the first temperature sensor 5 and the second temperature sensor 4, and a humidity correction coefficient α" (α"=α×α') is specified based on the specified degree of the internal heat generation and temperature (ambient temperature) T0 in the vicinity of the humidity sensor 3.
