<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a push button switch which can suppress destruction of a decorative layer even if key push operation is repeated over a long period of time, and also facilitates thinning of the push button switch, when the decorative layer is provided between a key top and a base sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The member for the push button switch includes a key top 20A. On a non-operation surface 22B of the key top 20A, a decorative layer 30, an adhesion layer 40A, a base sheet 50 and a pusher 60 are provided in this order, and the hardness of the pusher 60 is smaller than that of the base sheet 50.
